We know a lot about our planet, we have read so much about our mother earth everywhere. But, our planet is a surprise combo with so many wonders. The more we explore the more we get surprised, by its revelations of strangest phenomena.


1. Marble Caves



Lake General Carrera in the Andes, is the site for water caves. These are so beautifully formed and it add up much more to the aura of lake. These are nicknamed as Marble Caves. These allows some lucky tourists to travel through them. Thousands of years of waves, have eroded wonderfully to design the caves. Also, they change colors.


2. Sailing Stones



Sailing stones are the mysteries for researchers and scientists since the beginning of 20th century. In desert, these rocks slide and leave the traces. These 700 pound giant rocks sliding across plain floor have leaved the mind mumbled. But, after so much of result this puzzle was solved. Scientists say, winters cover the sand with thin sheet of ice, which drifts in spring and rocks move with it. When ice completely, melts away traces are revealed.


3. Great Blue Hole



This sink hole on the Coast of Belize is the largest one in the world. 1000 feet wide and 400 feet deep hole was formed through glaciation when sea levels were lower. When levels rose, this wonder was created. It is a famous scuba diving site. Sharks are taking it over, feeling as home. But, tourists enjoy this one of its kind thing.


4. Blood Falls



From complete milk-white site of Antarctica, red blood-colored water pours out from a side of a glacier. It looks like a paranormal sight. This happens inside the sea water lakes. When the water containing salts, react with iron oxides, they form this color. And it, appears like a whole blood river flowing.


5. Cave Of The Crystals



1000 feet below the Naica, Mexico, this cave has been discovered. This underground chamber is filled with selenite crystals. Some are even 50 feet long. These are supposed to be formed with the reaction of mineral water and the extreme heat from the Magma chamber underneath the cave. This process for 500,000 years gave this cave such appearance. Researchers wear refrigerated suits, and general public is not allowed because of the extreme 136 degrees temperature.


6. The Wave



This is a natural sand formation which looks likes an art instillation. It is located in the Coyote Butes Area of Arizona and Utah. This formation is made through millions of years of erosion. These wave designs are fragile and vulnerable. A lottery system was implemented and only 20 visitors are allowed per day to avoid foot traffic.


7. Spotted Lake



An overabundance of minerals turned this British Columbian lake into a polka-dotted wonder lake. High amounts of Magnesium and Sodium Sulphates have created colorful spots over the water. Every summer when water evaporates, the pool s turned into a multicolored pattern. It is one of the world’s most beautiful lake, also an important cultural site. It has both medicinal and industrial value.


8. Giant's Causeway



It is a world’s heritage site. It is located in Ireland and it is one of the most famous landmarks of Ireland. Legends have it that, the formation is built by giants to cross the sea. Although the formation is completely natural, created by lava flowing through the rocks, and cooling at irregular levels.


9. Cano Cristales



This place is also known as the liquid rainbow. This Colombian river is a mixture of unnatural colors. A species of River Weed is found to be the source of this strange composition of this river. The weed is so abundant that the water absorbs its colors and gives it a rainbow appearance. It is one of the most famous tourists attraction.


10. Darvaza Gas Crater



This natural deposit has been burning continuously for 47 years. It is also nicknamed as door to hell. This is located in the middle of the Karakum Desert in Turkmenistan. It is 226 feet wide and 100 feet deep. However, it was engineers who sat the cavern to fire by attempting to curb the release of dangerous Methane gas. They expected it would burn off in some weeks, but it hasn’t stopped since 1971.
