10 Most Expensive Vodka Brands Around The World
Vodka is among the most popular spirits in the world thanks to the fact that it is relatively flavorless and lacks aroma. This makes it a great mixer, the base for many cocktails, and a spirit that is available in nearly every bar. In recent years there have been many advances in the world of vodka, taking it from the basic, plain spirit we all know to one full of creation, with infusions becoming immensely popular. In recent decades a class of super-premium, top-shelf vodka brands have emerged, and we'll be exploring the most expensive vodkas.
1. Swarovski Studded Alize
Price: $2,000
A vodka-based concoction featuring flavors from Cognac, passion fruit, strawberry, lychee, and rose, a bottle of this will set you back $2,000. The drink itself isn't the cost leader of this bottle - it's a relatively average spirit requiring little in the way of invention or special processes. Instead, this Valentine's Day-themed bottle demands a high price thanks to being studded in Swarovski crystals.
2. Imperial Collection Super Premium Vodka

Price: $2,400
The alcohol itself is nothing special, just standard vodka with no particular imported water or special grains. The packaging is what makes it, with a gilded egg holding the bottle, a gilded carafe and cap, and all of it topped with a golden Russian eagle. It is an ornate bottle that exudes luxury, and comes with a price tag that reflects this fact - each bottle is priced at $2,400.
3. Stoli Elit: Himalayan Edition

Price: $3,000
One of the few super-premium vodkas where what goes into the bottle is just as important as what the bottle is like, the Himalayan Edition is available for an even $3,000. Stolichnaya justifies that by using pure water from underground reservoirs in the Himalayan Mountains, combined with Russian winter wheat. Even this isn't enough to fully explain spending that amount on a bottle of liquor, so Stolichnaya kicks it up a bit by having the bottle hand-blown, and including a gold-plated ice pick with each bottle.
4. Iordanov Vodka

Price: $4,150
Adding Swarovski crystals to bottles seems to be the way to go when it comes to getting a premium price, and Iordanov wanted to make sure they had enough to compete - and it looks as though they felt that 14,000 was enough. The one-liter bottles contain vodka made using a secret recipe that includes the use of extremely pure, imported Wasser Water. While there are less-expensive varieties available, the top-of-the-line Swarovski bottle rings up at $4,150.
5. OVAL Swarovski Crystal Vodka

Price: $6,922
Clad in over 7,000 Swarovski crystals, this limited edition bottle is only available at high-profile clubs in Europe and America. Considered a super-premium vodka, as with many of the bottles on this list, you're paying for the bottle, not the booze itself. The actual drink is a perfectly acceptable version of vodka, but not worth the $6,922 asking price. One of the main selling points is its heritage - its co-founder is John Paul Dejoria, also known as a founder of Paul Mitchell and Patron. Oval makes some outrageous claims, as well - they call it a ‘structured' vodka, claiming to improve the taste while reducing the hangover effect.
6. Belver Bears Vodka

Price: $7,200
At the top of the “expensive but not completely ridiculous” range is the Belver Bears series from Belvedere Vodka. Only $7,200 per bottle, at the center of it is a bottle of Belvedere, with the same vodka that is found in the standard bottles found at any liquor store. The big difference is that these bottles are housed in a limited-edition bear-shaped bottle designed by Jean-Roch, another case of paying for the look, not for what's inside.
7. Russo-Baltique Vodka 2011

Price: Premium Version $735,000
The first try by Russo-Baltique at making a premium bottle of vodka, sometime called the “Just Drink” edition, the composition of the vodka itself is no different than the 2013 version. However, this bottle only costs $735,000 due to a slightly less complex design. Making use of gold, platinum, and silver, the bottle itself is intricate, with an old-fashioned appearance.
8. DIVA Premium Vodka

Price: Premium Version $1 Million
Triple-refined and filtered through precious stones, Diva Vodka has a meticulous distilling process. Using a secret recipe, the vodka is distilled and then filtered through multiple stages, including imported Nordic birch charcoal and polished-diamond sand. The basic bottle of DIVA costs $3,700, but that isn't enough to make it this high on the list. Topping the basic bottle, the premier bottle of Diva comes in a bottle fitted with a center column containing various precious stones, and runs an even $1 million.
9. Russo-Baltique Vodka 2013

Price: $1.35 Million
From the home of vodka comes the second-most expensive bottle of vodka. Produced by the Dartz Armored company of Russia, this $1.35 million bottle of vodka comes in a gold flask made of coin from the time period of the Russian revolution, and is modeled after the grilles of the Russo-Baltique cars built during the period. Fittingly, it is also called “Family Relique.”

Unlike those cars, the flask also has a cap made of yellow and white gold. Hopefully the vodka tastes better than the vodka of that period, but good luck finding some - the only known person with a bottle is Prince Albert of Monaco. The bottles can be had for free, it you're willing to pony up for one of Dartz's heavily armored - and expensive - automobiles.
10. Billionaire Vodka

Price: $3.7 Million
A frankly disgusting display of opulence, this $3.7 million bottle holds 5 liters of vodka, but who really cares about the vodka? This is a design piece by luxury designer Leon Verres, and is a gaudy bottle studded with over 3,000 diamonds, highlighted with Swarovski crystals. The vodka itself claims to be developed from a secret recipe, and filtered through diamonds. None of this can possibly justify the purchase price of this liquor, beyond simply showing off.
